This roof uses ‘warm roof’ technology with a GRP (fibreglass) roofing system. GRP stands for 'Glass Reinforced Plastic'. The GRP roofing is created from polyester resin, reinforced by chopped strand mat glass fibres to form a durable and lightweight composite material.
The insulation is installed above the rafters – achieving a very satisfactory energy efficiency rating of U Value 0.18. We guarantee a GRP roof for 25 years and fully expect it to last longer than that.
